Charlotte’s message at Glastonbury Tor

June 18th 2025 was a warm, still day with full sunshine and blue skies. The Mirrorbox was carried to the top of Glastonbury Tor by the team and volunteers. It sat on top of the Tor surrounded by the beautiful Somerset countryside with the Festival site just in the distance.

The team made notes to describe the day for Charlotte:

“Today, families gather and couples relax at the top of the Tor. Itโ€™s a joyous and easy vibe. Inside the Mirrorbox, listening to Charlotteโ€™s message about how she misses being with friends at Glastonbury was particularly poignant, as looking out of the box, families were gathered and couples relaxed nearby. Around us are sounds of people chatting, children playing, farmers harvesting nearby. There is the scent of pollen and sunscreen in the air.

Throughout the day a stream of people approached the Mirrorbox. Many were tourists and were surprised and delighted to find the Mirrorbox at the top of the Tor. A number of people with experience of ME and Long Covid came, wanting to witness Charlotteโ€™s message at her special place.”

Here are a couple of comments we received from those visitors…

Very grateful, humbled and inspired. Proud of myself that I made it up the Tor, I haven’t been able to for two years due to my mobility.

I was chronically ill myself so Charlotteโ€™s message certainly resonated with me. I love the way this project gives a voice to those who arenโ€™t seen
