Art projects like this are so important. It has allowed me to reach people in a way I never thought possible and has arguably had a wider impact in one single day than years of me trying to spread awareness of my illness online.

Your donation matters
Your donation allows us to take the Mirrorbox to the place someone loves but can no longer get to, enabling hundreds to step inside the Mirrorbox and listen to a voice and message that stand for so many of us now absent and unable to be part of everyday life.
Donations help us amplify the absence of people living with ME and Long Covid. Publicising and promoting, filming, documenting. Help us to raise awareness about the reality of living with these conditions that leave so many people feeling invisible and forgotten.
Donations will enable us to connect people at each place with the message sender through postcards. Sending postcards back (through the project) is a way for listeners to send their own messages of understanding back to the sender – showing they have been seen and heard at a place that means so much to them.

Knowing that people were there, listening to my message, enjoying the view as I have in the past, made me feel connected. I felt like I was there with them. Perhaps more importantly, it made me feel visible again.
