The oak tree at Ashton Court, Bristol

A large oak tree with brown leaves in the middle of a big green field. The sun is slighlty shining through the branches, creating a shadow of the tree on the grass in front of it. The sky is a greyish blue colour.

Ashton Court is a huge park on the outskirts of Bristol. The oak tree is beside a golf course on the high point of a hill looking out across the city to the countryside beyond.

Finding the Mirrorbox

Starting from the golf course car park, with the cafe on your left, head along the path towards a small copse of trees about 400 metres ahead. As you walk, youโ€™ll see a roped-off area on your right โ€” this is there to protect nesting skylarks. When you reach the trees, follow the path around them to the left. About 20 metres further south, you will see the oak tree standing between two fairways of the golf course. The Mirrorbox will be placed near to it.
