The project was put on hold and into the fridge (so to speak) over Christmas.
The break gave me the opportunity to reflect on what an amazing but huge project it has become. So many pieces are starting to come together, but I ignored my health before Christmas and paid for it. I am grateful for getting to know so many of your lives and realising I am not alone in trying to manage fluctuations. It is so hard to balance what I know could do before M.E./CFS and life as it is now.
I have realised this project canโt be done even though I have M.E./CFS. It needs to be done working with it.
So, working with the energy I have, and for the project to be the best it can be, I have taken the pressure off completing the mirrorbox tour over the summer months this year. It will tour over a longer period and may at times have to slow.
Plans are still moving ahead with people involved over the next few months to build the online map, construct and test the mirrorbox, raise funds and plan the journey.
I hope to involve you in developments as well as welcoming ideas and suggestions you may have. This project feels like journey of our many voices, and it feels important that you are part of it.
This has felt tricky to write, so thanks for your understanding
