The Mirrorbox will be visiting on the 12-13th September 2026. Visitors will be able to step inside the Mirrorbox and listen to Charlotte’s message recalling visits to the Opera House with her Grandad. If you are planning to visit, information is below, but if you can’t make it, you can also listen to Charlotte’s message and send her a postcard.

The Mirrorbox will be located in the Paul Hamlyn Hall inside the Royal Opera House.
Opening Hours
- Saturday 12 September: 12pm–6pm
- Sunday 13 September: 11am*–6pm
*Sunday 11am–12pm is a quiet hour for visitors with access needs. If you do not have access needs, please visit from 12pm onwards.
Please note that bag checks are currently in place, so please allow extra time when visiting the building.

The Royal Opera House is at Bow Street, London WC2E 9DD, in Covent Garden. The area can be busy, particularly around Covent Garden Piazza.
Bus
The nearest bus stops are around Aldwych and Drury Lane, served by a number of routes including the 15, 23, 26, 91 and 188.
- Aldwych / Kingsway: approximately 2 minutes’ walk
- Aldwych / Drury Lane: approximately 3 minutes’ walk
- Leicester Square Station: approximately 3 minutes’ walk
Tube
Covent Garden Underground Station, on the Piccadilly line is approximately 3–5 minute walk
Please note that Covent Garden station can be very busy and has stairs from the platform to street level, although lifts are available.
Leicester Square Underground Station is approximately 3 minutes’ walk
Train
The nearest mainline station is Charing Cross railway station which is approximately 6–7 minutes’ walk from the Royal Opera House. The Royal Opera House notes that Charing Cross is around half a mile away and has good wheelchair access.
Car
There is no parking at the Royal Opera House.
Nearby car parks are: the NCP Covent Garden car park on Drury Lane or Q-Park London 34-35 Bedfordbury, both are located approximately 5 minute walk away.
There are a limited number of disabled parking bays on Bow Street and Floral Street, close to the Royal Opera House (see our access information for further details)
