This place is special because I used to love live music and New Cross Inn always had the best bands.

Listening and dancing to live music made me feel carefree and exhausted, but for a good reason. Once I got up, once I started dancing, I didn’t stop until the music was finished and it was time to go home.

The New Cross Inn is a proper, sticky floor, smelly beer kind of venue – just the way I like it. I met some fantastic people there.

A song that reminds me of the New Cross Inn is Wonk Unit – Horses, which was always a crowd-pleaser and got the hardcore punks galloping around the dance floor like horses.
