Transcript

My husband grew up around this area of the country and we’d been dating about three months when he first brought me down here and to this beach and I fell in love with it.

I’ve spent so many days here walking the coast path. The last photo of me taken here I was pregnant, 16 years ago. Then ME/CFS made this beach totally inaccessible, with its steps up the cliff to the coast path, 15 minute walk across and steps down the other side.

I can be taken out now in my wheelchair if I feel well enough on that day to parks and to stately homes and be pushed around manicured lawns and flower beds. Disability means not being able to access the wild places and that leaves a huge hole in my life.
