Iโd love to be back at Rhossili, feeling the wind in my hair, the smell of the salt, looking down over the beach. Looking over Wormโs head, looking for cute little seashells that I can keep and wonder what used to live there and just feel them in my hands. The salt spray on my face, the sand in between my toes, just the openness, the vast, vast sea. I just love to feel it all.
I used to go there when I was little with my parents and grandparents and walk the dog along the top and weโd walk down the many, many steps (oh gosh, I wish I could walk that many steps now!) Then play in the sand and weโd even go surfing. The strong current and waves and just the noise.
I can remember taking my dog Hazel. She was only a few months old, she was a little puppy and it was our first holiday together. It was so lovely with the wind in her hair and then weโd take my grandparentsโ older dog before that, when I was little, and that was her first experience at the beach. Millie was her name.
I just wish I could do it again.
