Green hills and cliffs with dark grey sea crashing against them, creating white foam. There is a white house in the distance and the sky is very cloudy.

I am in awe of the vastness of the sea in this place and I feel connected to the wider planet there.

It’s a place I accessed three years ago on a Tramper mobility scooter. I scooted along the coast path in a raging gale feeling the elements, sensing the wind and the waves and looking at the blue sky and the green hillsides. The howling wind was buffeting and flapping my bivvy bag that was covering me in this Tramper scooter and I was gripping the handles of the scooter.

If I was there now, I would just sit and I would watch the mesmerising sea. I love the place because it’s wild and it has human history. The chimneys of the mine buildings are beautiful. When I was there I was able to be there because I was helped by a friend and I could rent this Tramper as I’m not able to walk very far.

I feel a bit heavy-hearted that I can’t get there at the moment. I’m leaving this message for all the coast path walkers and climbers, mobile,*agile people that are able to access this beautiful spot.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the message and feel connected to the people that can be there – and those who would like to be there. Thank you.
